1. Power Bank

A power bank is the single most important gadget you can travel with as a solo traveler, no debate. Your phone is everything when you’re alone: your map, your translator, your booking app, your content creation device, your emergency contact. If it dies, you’re stuck.

One of the biggest concerns people have about solo travel is ‘who will take my pictures?’ and the answer is: your tripod! If you’re a solo traveler and a content creator, you need at least one tripod, and honestly I travel with two.

The first is small and portable, it fits in my bag and I can set it up literally anywhere in seconds. I use this for content on the go: at landmarks, restaurants, markets, anywhere I’m exploring. The second is slightly bigger but still compact, and I use it when I want to do a proper shoot: in my hotel room, at the airport, or anywhere I have a bit more time to set up.
