I went to Singapore for the first time this year and I fell in love with the country; I celebrated my 33rd birthday there, and it was perfect. Think of stunning landscapes, a clean city, and crisp air, that’s everything Singapore and more. Don’t even get me started on the airport; it’s worth all the hype and more. It wasn’t just the beauty; it’s the most seamless, easy-to-navigate, hassle-free airport I have ever been to, and I have been to many, having traveled to 35 countries, so trust me on this.
I have created this guide that is perfect for everyone, be it your first trip or you are visiting again, you will find everything you need here. Different videos that covers everything you need to know.
1. Start here, before you land in Singapore
Everything you need to know before you land in Singapore, from filling your arrival form, the documents you need to go with especially if you are black, I covered everything in this video.
2. Where to stay
I stayed in Amara Singapore; it’s in a perfect central location, within walking distance to Chinatown and Maxwell Center, and the train station is just around the corner. You can stay in the same hotel or any one in the same area. Link to the same hotel on booking.com.

3. Activities
I spent 5 days in Singapore, and to be honest, it wasn’t nearly enough to explore everything this vibrant city has to offer. From the stunning skyline to the lush greenery of Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa island there’s so much to do in Singapore. Check out the perfect 4 day itinerary.
4. Food
If you know, you know Southeast Asia has some of the best food in the world, and Singapore isn’t any different. From street food to Michelin-starred food markets to fine dining, Singapore has it all. The hawker centers are a must-visit, teeming with stalls offering everything from Hainanese chicken rice to spicy Laksa, one of the best meals to have when you are there. The best meal I had in Singapore cost less than $10, yet it was bursting with flavor.
5. Budget
I spent $2,100 on a 5-day trip, and I broke everything down in this video for you to see exactly how I allocated my budget. From accommodation choices and transportation expenses to meals and activities, I documented everything to give you a comprehensive overview. Whether you’re looking to travel on a budget or simply curious about travel costs, this breakdown will provide valuable insights.
6. Visa Requirement
I am a Nigerian, which means that I require a visa for traveling to many countries around the world. I applied for my Singapore visa from Dubai, and the process was quite straightforward. The application cost me 162 AED, I have documented everything you need to know, the documents you need and how to go about it.

7. Marina Bay Sands
This is a topic on its own because did you really go to Singapore if you didn’t go to this place and take pictures by the famous infinity pool. I didn’t have $2,000 a night to spend at this hotel so I obviously didn’t stay here but I still found a way to visit the hotel and take stunning pictures by the pool.
Singapore is somewhere I would always go back to; I paired my trip with Malaysia, which is 1 hour away. You can find more about that on my TikTok. Let me know if you have any questions or have visited Singapore; share your experience.
Till your next read, Ibi.
